Multilingual Learners/ELL

  • At Lake Forest High School, students whose primary language is not English receive language support with a highly qualified English as a Second Language and/or bilingual teacher. Support provided is appropriate for the language level of each student, according to the WIDA Scale, and incorporates activities from the four language domains of reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Students receive instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL) with support in their native Spanish language as needed.
