Curriculum Overview

  • The Community of Learners utilizes Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum is a play-based early childhood curriculum that has four main areas of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language. This curriculum provides many play-based opportunities and experiences for children to learn and practice developmentally appropriate skills. The curriculum is aligned to early learning standards and provides experiences to ensure kindergarten readiness. Students participate in whole groups, small groups, play, and gross motor activities each and every day!

Teachers collect data using Teaching Strategies Gold. Students are assessed in a number of areas through play and activities. The data collection helps teachers and staff see how students are progressing developmentally. The information helps with planning activities to support students’ development.
